The Protego Foundation fights to end the abuse of the animals in the real world using inspiration from the magical (and non-magical) creatures in fantasy worlds. 

​We are a group of activists empowering all magical persons to get active for animals. Launching in 2015 as The Fwooper Foundation, relaunching in 2017 as The Fantastic Beasts Foundation, and finally becoming The Protego Foundation in 2018, we have been inspired by fantasy books, films, and more to compare how animals in fantastical worlds and the real world are treated. 

As of 2019, we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Our Goal

A fantasy fandom that is more considerate of the rights, feelings, and treatment of all creatures regardless of species, size, or magical ability.
