Fantastic Beasts Foundation Executive Director and Celestina Warbeck fan club VP, Tylor Starr, was able to catch up with Celestina Warbeck while her current As Loving as a Lethifold tour makes a stop in Diagon Alley. Hear what inspired her latest album, what she wants her fans to do to help erumpents, and what’s next for the Singing Sorceress! World renowned Singing Sorceress talks helping rhinos in an exclusive interviewTylor Starr: As always, it is a pleasure to see you, Celestina. Celestina Warbeck: Oh, of course, Thomas! TS: It’s Tylor… CW: [Takes long sip of tea] TS: So you are currently on your As Loving as a Lethifold tour, promoting your new album by the same name. What inspired this album? CW: Well, darling. As my wonderful fans already know, my dear mama was killed--[Celestina pulls out a long baby blue handkerchief and dabs the corner of her eyes] by a lethifold when I was just a girl. I wanted to pay respect to my mama by naming my 10th album after the creature that took her from me. TS: I’m so sorry that happened to you, but tickets to the shows sold out in record time! CW: Oh, Merlin’s beard, they did! But then again, I’m not surprised. [She smiles as she winks at me] TS: Of course they did! I was among the 524 fans who camped outside Dominic Maestro's Music Shop in Hogsmeade for tickets. CW: Oh thank you, sweetie. TS: So you recently partnered with the Fantastic Beasts Foundation on our Erumpent Rescue campaign. What made you want to get involved? CW: Well, I had some time before a show down in Africa—I was performing with the Uagadou’s school choir—and I visited an erumpent sanctuary, for which I am a major donor. TS: And while there, you also ran into another magical creature, right? CW: [Laughs] Magical in a different way, oh yes. I came across a rhino, who are these non-magical creatures who look like baby erumpents, just without the explosive horn. I was saddened to hear that muggle poachers were killing them for their horns. A wizard at the erumpent sanctuary mentioned that rhino poaching has risen by over 52% this year alone—so sad. [Celestina dabs at her eyes again and blows her nose. It sounds like a decoy detonator going off. ] TS: If there was one thing you would like for your fans to do to help rhinos, what would it be? CW: Apparently, there is one person in South Africa who can help save these beautiful creatures, the Environment Minister, Edna. You can go to ErumpentRescue.com and send her a howler asking her to protect these fabulous animals. TS: Thank you for that. So what is next for you and your amazing career? CW: Well sweetheart, I will be finishing my tour here in Diagon Alley where I will have a residency on the Carkitt Market stage! My darling fans will be able to visit Diagon Alley and see me perform every day! I’m very excited about it. TS: Well, I know I will be stopping by to see you as often as I can, as usual. Thank you for everything, Celestina. You are a hero. CW: Aw, thank you, Theodore. You have always been such a dedicated fan. TS: ….it’s Ty—oh nevermind.
