Help for the Hurricane Victims

In the wake of the devastating hurricanes that have hit the southern United States, Mexico, and Caribbean countries in the past month or so, many wild and domestic animals have suffered neglect, trauma, and displacement as a direct result of both the weather and of human ignorance (many people illegally left their pets behind when they evacuated). To help these animals, we’d like to share a few of the many shelters, rescue organizations, and sanctuaries that could use our help.

Monetary or item-based donations to these organizations would be much appreciated by the animals who have already suffered so much. And of course, if your local animal shelter has taken in animals affected by the storms, consider fostering, adopting, or volunteering at the shelter.
